Some apps need more than the plan default. Add-ons stack with any plan and bill separately:
- Database, $3/mo, a managed Postgres database attached to your apps on the Free plan, so a free-tier app can store and persist real data.
- App Boost, $8/mo, upgrade an individual app's container to 1 GB + 0.5 vCPU for heavier workloads (included on every Pro app).
- Always-On, $14.99/mo per app on Free, disables the idle-sleep timer on a hosted app so it never spins down between visits. Builder includes 1 always-on app and Pro includes 3.
- Phone line, $9.99/mo, a real US phone number for one workspace: call it and talk to that workspace's agent. 60 minutes of calls a month are included. What the agent does on a call bills like any other request, on your own key or your credits.

Is VibeKit free to start?
Yes. The free tier includes 10 AI sessions per month and 2 workspaces (apps, chats and linked computers all count). No credit card required to sign up. Bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI key (BYOK) and you can run thousands of sessions without VibeKit ever charging you for AI usage.
What does BYOK mean and how does it work?
BYOK stands for Bring Your Own Key. You connect your Anthropic or OpenAI API key in your profile, and AI usage bills directly to that account at the provider's standard rates. VibeKit adds zero markup on BYOK usage, your subscription only covers the platform (hosting, persistent agents, infrastructure).
What's an AI session?
A session is one back-and-forth task with an agent, typically capped at 30 minutes of activity. Most simple tasks (a small feature, a bug fix, a deploy) finish in well under a session. Heavy refactors may use multiple sessions. The session counter resets on a rolling 30-day window.
Do unused sessions roll over?
No, sessions reset on a rolling 30-day window, and only the Free tier has a session limit: past 10 sessions, Free continues at $0.50/session from credits. Builder and Pro have unlimited sessions. The included monthly AI credit on paid plans ($20 on Builder, $25 on Pro) also resets monthly; purchased credits never expire.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Profile > Plan & usage in the app, no email or support ticket required. Your account drops to the free tier on the next billing cycle. Hosted apps stay live; you just lose the higher session and workspace limits.
What if I run out of credit on the pay-as-you-go path?
Sessions pause until you top up. The agent doesn't run unauthorized usage, and your message is saved so you can pick up where you left off. You can also switch to the Free model and keep building at $0.
What support do I get?
Every plan, including Free, has direct in-app support chat with the VibeKit team from the dashboard and the iOS app. There is no community-forum tier: free users get the same support channel as paid users. No formal SLA is published at this stage.
Are there add-ons?
Yes: App Boost ($8/mo, 0.5 vCPU + 1 GB for an app with heavier workloads), Always-On ($14.99/mo per app on Free, keeps it running 24/7; Builder includes 1 always-on app and Pro includes 3), Phone line ($9.99/mo, a US number you call to talk to a workspace's agent, 60 minutes a month included) and the Database add-on ($3/mo, Postgres for your apps on Free).
