Looking for a Lovable Alternative?
VibeKit is built around the thing Lovable can't quite hand you: full ownership of your code, container, and AI billing. Real GitHub repo from day one. Real Fargate container, not a managed Vercel project you can't touch. BYOK with Claude or OpenAI for zero AI markup.
The ownership angle
Lovable's app generation happens in their cloud and the deployment pipeline runs through Lovable's Vercel account. You can export to GitHub, but the canonical project — the deployment, the build settings, the secrets — lives on Lovable's infra. If Lovable's pricing changes or the company pivots, your hosted app moves with them.
VibeKit inverts that. Every app is a GitHub repo under your account, deployed to a Fargate container in our cluster but tied to your VibeKit user. The code is yours, the URL is yours, the secrets are yours. If you wanted to leave VibeKit tomorrow, you'd `git clone` your repo and walk away — nothing else needed.

For a deeper feature comparison see VibeKit vs Lovable — this page focuses on the migration side.
Migration in three steps
- Export to GitHub from Lovable. Their export-to-GitHub button creates the repo. Keep the default branch as
main. - Install VibeKit (App Store) and sign in. Tap Deploy → Connect GitHub.
- Pick the repo + a subdomain. VibeKit clones, builds, and serves at
yourname.vibekit.bot. If you want your existing custom domain, map it on the Builder plan.
The first thing the agent does in the new workspace is read your code and orient itself — same Claude / GPT models, but now with persistent context for your project specifically.
When Lovable's still the right call
For pure design-driven SaaS UI prototyping in a browser tab, Lovable's UX is hard to beat. If that's your main use case and you don't need long-term hosting or mobile control, stay on Lovable. VibeKit is the move when you've outgrown the "make me a prototype" phase and want to ship the thing.
